The Model F-54Holmberg Musical Clock The Holmberg Musical Clock Model F-54 is an instrument of 54 pipes, and our first Musical Clock with two ranks of pipes. It is not only the first two rank Musical Clock for us, but it is unique in the historical archives of these instruments. This Musical Clock is built of North American walnut; every piece hand selected from four quarter and six quarter stock for its place in the instrument. The base section of the Model F-54 is walnut burl, and is pattern matched across the front section and both ends. The control panel is concealed behind the custom designed imported Roman dial that is unique to this instrument. The casework for the Model F-54 is reminiscent of classic organs of the past with the three tower design that helps to focus, blend, reflect and direct the complex tonal resources of the instrument. Behind the facade of Gedeckt pipes is the second set of Quinte 1 1/3' that contributes the fifth upper partial to the prime unison of the Gedeckt 8'. This harmonic corroborating mutation affords a tonal opportunity usually found only in a complex instrument such as the pipe organ, but not previously in Musical Clocks. This harmonic is particularly friendly to the Gedeckt which favors only the odd harmonics in the makeup of its very pleasant tone and timbre.
The mechanism complementing the organ pipes is our electro-pneumatic chestwork; very fast, very quiet, and with built-in expansion chamber channeling for optimum pipe speech. This instrument is custom built to order. Delivery is about 12 to 15 weeks from the placing of the order.
